MIRIAN TAVARES CO-EDITS NEW ISSUE OF FOTOCINEMA MAGAZINE 

“Comunicación, divulgación y representación mediática de la ciencia” N. 27 (2023) is the most recent issue of the magazine Photocinema, which is co-edited by CIAC coordinator Mirian Tavares.

This edition of Photocinema aims to bring together investigations that promote the study and analysis of the representation of science through cinema and photography. The published studies analyze their informative and documentary value to demonstrate the transfer of scientific knowledge, as well as their applications in research. Reflections on the projection of science in these formats, from any of its possible approaches, contribute to scientific criticism since society cultivates and forges its stereotypes based on these representations.

Fotocinema – Scientific Journal of Film and Photography is a magazine of the University of Malaga that publishes in the fields of Visual Arts and Audiovisual Communication and addresses the study, analysis, knowledge, history, and reflection on cinema and photography.
