OPEN CALL FOR A RESEARCH GRANT FOR PROJECT PROPS – APPLICATIONS OPEN UNTIL 28 FEBRUARY

A call for a Research Grant for CIAC’s Project PROPS is open until 28 February 2023. The grant comprises research in Digital Media-Art, as part of the Project PROPS – Narrativas Interativas Propõem Discurso Pluralista, which is funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and will be carried out at CIAC’s headquarters at the University of Algarve (Campus Gambelas).

Candidates should have experience in scientific research and writing; and in audiovisual production in real image, animation, and artificial intelligence. Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in the Ph.D. in Digital Media-Art of the University of Algarve and the Open University.

The fellow researcher will contribute to the study of the state-of-the-art in the scope of the project; support the preparation of questionnaires, data processing, Focus Group orientation, and development of interactive narratives; participate in scientific meetings; and support dissemination activities.

PROPS – Narrativas Interativas Propõem Discurso Pluralista (props – slang for proper respect) aims to act in prevention and media education in order to stop online hate speech.
