ROTURA-Journal of Communication, Culture, and Arts has recently been included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), an index that aids consultation and open access to high-quality scientific journals.

Journal Rotura publishes research in the fields of Communication, Culture, and Arts; especially in the field of artistic studies (visual arts, digital media-art, cinema, theater) and cultural, communication, and literary studies (Digital Archives, digital critical editions), with an interdisciplinary approach. Rotura is an OJS system publication with rigorous scientific arbitration practices that integrates experts from all over the world. ROTURA has a free access policy that promotes the improvement of scientific knowledge and the dissemination of research outcomes.

DOAJ is a portal developed by the University of Lund (Sweden) that lists periodical publications of academic and scientific nature which are available in open access. DOAJ aims to increase visibility and facilitate the research and use of scientific and academic journals in open access, thus promoting their use and impact. The directory aims to be thorough, covering all scientific journals. For that, they use an internal (evaluation by editors) or external (peer review) control system that guarantees the quality of their content.
