BRUNO MENDES DA SILVA SELECTED FOR A SCIENTIFIC VISIT TO VIETNAM

CIAC vice-coordinator Bruno Mendes da Silva was selected for a pedagogical and scientific visit at Hue University, Vietnam, as part of the project UAlg Alliances 2020. During this visit, the researcher will give a lecture/workshop and seek to expand CIAC’s international network.

With his book, Audiovisual Communication: the train of love, written in 2021, Bruno Mendes da Silva energizes the lecture/workshop “Audiovisual Language.” The session proposes an introduction to film concepts, offering the necessary tools both for their reading and analysis, as well as for audiovisual production. He aims to explore the most relevant concepts of audiovisual language through the analysis of some particular moments in the history of cinema.

With this visit, Bruno Mendes da Silva also seeks—through meetings with managers, academics, and researchers—to create a network in the field of Communication, Culture, and Arts and promote the CIAC’s internationalization.

The project UAlg Alliances 2020 is coordinated by the University of Algarve within the framework of the European Erasmus+ – Key Action 1 International Credit Mobility Program. The program supports the mobility of students, teachers, and administrators, with the aim of creating and developing channels and tools with institutions from all over the world in its main pillar areas: Tourism, Sea, Cultural heritage, and Health and Well-being. By promoting the international circulation of ideas, improving human capacities, and integrating high-quality programs and courses recognized worldwide, the project aims to contribute to internationalization par excellence and the transfer of skills.
