PEDRO ALVES DA VEIGA LECTURES WEBINAR / WORKSHOP ON IMAGE AND SOUND

On 22 March 2023, at 16h00, CIAC researcher Pedro Alves da Veiga lectures the webinar/workshop Exploring the aesthetic and poetic intersections of image and sound. The session is organized by Training Center Dr. Rui Grácio, with the support of the Zer0 Museum, and is directed to early childhood educators, Elementary, Secondary, and special education teachers. Registration is open until 21 March.

This webinar proposes the active and creative exploration of a sensory stimulus (audio) as a way to influence the cognitive processes caused by visual stimuli. It aims to identify the specificities of visual and auditory stimuli, as well as their creative, communication, interactive and pedagogical potentials; develop skills in the creative and artistic use of audiovisual elements and explore their interdependencies and affectations; explore the artistic concepts of soundscape (soundscape) and environmental installation (audiovisual); teach students how to use digital tools for the manipulation of image, sound, video, and their composition; and present forms of evaluation and monitoring of digital audiovisual projects, and prepare participants to use them.

Digital formats have become ubiquitous in and out of school, and their informed and creative use depends on various levels of literacy. Highlighting the role of each element, audio and video, knowing how to capture, edit and manipulate them is a very important ability in the production of communication and pedagogical content.
