ZER0 MUSEUM HOSTS PEDRO ALVES DA VEIGA’S WORKSHOP ABOUT CREATIVE PROGRAMMING

On 24th of September, between 10am and 7pm, CIAC researcher Pedro Alves da Veiga will give the workshop “Código Criativo” (Creative Code). Directed to artists, creatives and entrepreneurs supported by Zer0 Museum/ILC Lusíada Institute of Culture and Magalhães ICC Project beneficiaries, the workshop will take place in a face-to-face format on the Sagres Caravel (moored at the Commercial Pier), in Faro.

Creative code is a type of computer programming whose goal is to create something expressive, rather than something functional. It is used to create visual effects, as well as for visual arts design, art installations, projection and video mapping, sound art, advertisements, product prototypes, and more.

Pedro Alves da Veiga is a transdisciplinary artist and researcher, who develops artistic activity in assemblage, generative creative programming and digital audiovisuals. He has participated in several research projects at the intersection of art, science and technology, and his areas of research interest cross art and society, sustainability, artivism and hactivism, art-based research methodologies and digital media-art curatorship.
