INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: ARTECH 2023
CIAC / UALG HOSTS THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ARTECH 2023
CIAC joined Artech International Association and will host ARTECH 2023 – 11th International Conference on Digital and Interactive Arts. The event will take place at the University of Algarve, on 28, 29, and 30 November 2023, under the theme “Digital Creation Processes.” The call for papers is open until 16 June 2023.
With the aim of promoting debate on the current panorama of Digital Culture and fostering dialogue on the intersection of art and technology as an important field of research, the ARTECH 2023 program will include lectures by eminent experts/artists, presentation of the articles, art installations, videos, and posters of works in development. The event will bring together teachers, researchers, artists, computer professionals, and other professionals in the field of Digital Arts, Culture, and education, and provide room for discussion and sharing of experiences.
Works from all fields related to digital art and art installations, interactive art, or media-art works are welcome. Topics of interest include: AI and art; art, science and sustainability; art and science theory; art and technology; audiovisual and Multimedia design; Creativity theory; data design and visualization; digital games; digital storytelling; digital technologies and creation; e-learning in art and media studies; electronic music; generative and algorithmic art and design; gesture interfaces; Human-Computer Interaction; immersive art; interactive art; interactive systems for artistic applications; interaction design; interfaces; history of media-art; web art and digital Culture; digital, applications and e-books; digital preservation; parametric design; praxis and poesis; STEAM education; sustainability activism and bioremediation; tangible interfaces; technology in art education; virtual and augmented reality; among others.
A selection of articles will be submitted for publication by ACM ICPS and made available in the ACM Digital Library. The proceedings will be published in the main international indexing services, namely Scopus and the Web of Science.
ARTECH is one of the largest and most prestigious events in the field of digital arts and relations between arts and technology. It brings together artists and researchers from all over the world, with the aim of contributing to the development of digital culture.
