OPEN CALL FOR PAPERS FOR THE IV INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CULTURES 

The call for papers for the IX International Conference on Cultures is open until 20 July 2023. The event will be held at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) from November 6 to 10, 2023, in a hybrid format (virtual and in-person).

Centered on the theme Cultures: dialogues for a plural democracy, the conference proposes a discussion on the role of cultures in the construction and consolidation of democratic practices that permeate the entire society and oppose authoritarianism in its various forms. Researchers of cultures, arts, heritage, philosophy, social and human sciences, literature and related fields are invited to contribute to this discussion. In this edition, the conference welcomes participants from other Latin American countries, regardless of language.

Te conference welcomes proposals within the research field of the 6 Working Groups: Cultures and Democracies; Cultural Diversity; Cultures, Communication, Networks and Technologies; Cultures and Lifestyles; Cultures, Arts and Popular Knowledge; Cultures and Universities.

CIAC coordinator, Mirian Tavares, once again integrates the scientific committee of the Congress.
