ROMANCEIRO.PT AND CIAC LAUNCH THE FIRST EDITION OF COLLECTION OPÚSCULOS

Opúsculos is the new essay collection devoted to Pan-hispanic Romanceiro, launched by Romanceiro.pt and CIAC. The first edition, Una Tomba Emblematica per una Morta Incoronata. Nuevas disquisiciones sobre Inés de Castro en el Romancero, was written by CIAC researcher Pere Ferré and is already available for download on the collection’s website.

Coordinated by Sandra Boto (IELT/UNL), Opúsculos aims to disseminate, in open access, monographic texts that contribute with innovative data to advance the state-of-the-art in the field of Pan-Hispanic Romanceiro. The aim of the collection is innovative because, until now, only international journals of scientific quality dedicated to Romanceiro were available. This collection emerges as an exclusive channel for the publication of studies with greater scope and depth.

In Una Tomba Emblematica per una Morta Incoronata. Nuevas disquisiciones sobre Inés de Castro en el Romancero, Pere Ferré presents a new reading of the myth of Inês de Castro in the Romanceiro that allows clarifying some obscure points about her presence in this poetic genre.

Opúsculos welcomes submissions from researchers interested in disseminating original academic essays of up to 100 pages. To contact the collection, use this form.
