SECOND SESSION OF THE CONFERENCE CYCLE ROMANCEIRO.PT TAKES PLACE ON 15 MAY

The second session of the Conference cycle Romanceiro.pt takes place on 15 May 2023, at 18h00. The event is organized by CIAC in partnership with the IELT-Institute for Literature and Tradition Studies. The conference takes place via Zoom until November 2023.

Lectured by João Dionísio (University of Lisbon/CLUL), this session has as theme “Instatâneos: sobre alguma poesia oral”.

Future sessions also worth mentioning are: “El romancero americano: reformulaciones y resemantizaciones en contextos socioculturales diversos “(June 5), with Gloria Chicote (Universidad Nacional de La Plata/Conicet);” Comentarios sobre la cançó llarga o balada catalana “(September 25), with Salvador Rebés Molina (Societat Catalana De Llengua i Literatura);  “O que é recolher textos da tradição oral moderna?” (9 October), with Pere Ferré (University of Algarve/CIAC); and “a balada romântica” (13 November), with Fátima Freitas Morna (University of Lisbon).

The Conference cycle Romanceiro.pt aims to address, in a broad manner and for a transdisciplinary audience, aspects that permeate the study of the romanceiro, such as issues of printed transmission, ancient tradition, oral and modern tradition or the romanceiro in other traditions.
