DMAD ROUND TABLE WITH MEMBERS OF THE MASTER’S DEGREE IN CREATIVE PROCESSES

The 10th Doctoral Reunion in Media-Digital Art (DMAD retreat 2023) takes place next week, between July 10 and 14, 2023, at Convento do Espírito Santo (Loulé).

The program for Wednesday, 12 July at 15h30, includes a round table with artists and researchers from the Postgraduate Degree in Creative Processes. Pioneer in the country, the course aims to promote the humanistic, cultural, and artistic training of students through the knowledge of theoretical, analytical, and critical instruments leading to the understanding of artistic, literary, and cultural practices from the point of view of the genesis of artistic works and the study of creation processes.

The round table is composed by: Patrícia Dourado, CIAC researcher and guest professor of the postgraduate course in creative processes who investigates creative processes in general, and that of cinema in particular, focusing on script practices; Ana André, artist and part of the direction of the Artadentro Association, where she develops an artistic and cultural development project for the City of Faro; Diogo Simão, film director and producer, and artistic director of Plutão de Verão – Cultural Association; Milita Doré, an artist who is interested in the human condition in the psychological context, gender, gender identity, and memory, using various means; Susana Rodrigues, curator of art exhibitions and researcher in the fields of institutional criticism and the role of institutions, especially museums, in the legitimation of contemporary art; Tânia Silva, who works in the field of theater, cinema, television, music, dance, and education.

We remind you that the Master in Creative Processes of the University of Algarve has open applications for the Class of 2023 – 2025. The application submission period (3rd phase) ends on July 10, 2023.
