PROJECT CYPET AT THE III INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DIGITAL HUMANITIES
On 18 April 2023, at 14h00, project CyPeT will be presented at the III International Conference on Digital Humanities (HDRio2023), with the Communication “Digital Humanities, cyberperformance and hybrid teaching: a pedagogical proposal for the digital Performing Arts in Portugal”, by CIAC researchers Rosimária Sapucaia, José Bidarra, Mirian Tavares, Juliana Wexel and Pedro Alves da Veiga. The event takes place at UNIRIO (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and will have live transmission.
The communication focuses on the concept of digital humanities as an interdisciplinary academic field, which includes teaching digital media-art and practices and didactic experiences aligned with the advancements of digital culture. The communication presents a pedagogical model for ciberperformance, developed from bibliographic research; surveys applied to Portuguese higher education institutions that have courses in performing arts; and interviews with artists, performers, institutions and artistic groups in Portugal. In addition, it will emphasize the historical panorama of the cyberperformance phenomenon and the use of digital technologies in higher education.
HDRio2023 aims to promote debate on the best ways to articulate the human and nonhuman; reason and imagination; art, science, and politics; and algorithms and affects in the name of a political project of pluralization of realities accessible to human beings and the establishment of a “pluriverse”.
