GALLERY TREM HOSTS THE EXHIBITION “A NUVEM DO NÃO-SABER” BY SARA NAVARRO

The opening exhibition A Nuvem do Não-Saber, by Sara Navarro, takes place at on 1 March 2023, at 18h00 Galeria Trem, in Faro. The exhibition aims to discuss the concept of time and is open until 22 April 2023.

A Nuvem do Não-Saber presents a collection of literary/sculpture artworks that require a disconnection from the pragmatic world and a reconnection with the spiritual world. The pieces distribute themselves in the space and create their own space-time and require a moment of appreciation and contemplation.

Sara Navarro is an artist who has combined research and creative practice since the beginning of her career in Fine Arts. The time dimension is always present in her work: time drags itself in its own rhythm, denying the hustle of the contemporary world; the archaeology of time, which reveals traces of the present in the past and vice-versa; and the arts’ time, which needs its own temporality, that denies the vertiginous rhythm of what is external to it and summons us to a moment of meditation, of stillness, and contemplation.

This exhibition is part of the program of the Degree in Visual Arts, of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the University of the Algarve for Gallery Trem. It is supported by CIAC, FCT and Câmara Municipal de Faro/Museu Municipal de Faro. The exhibition is free of charge.
