INTERNATIONAL EVENT
CIAC PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SUSTAINABLE MULTILINGUALISM
On 4th and 5th June 2021, CIAC researchers Manuel Célio Conceição, Pedro Sousa and Neuza Costa will participate in the 6th edition of the International Scientific Conference “Sustainable Multilingualism“, organized by the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania), in cooperation with the Language Teachers’ Association of Lithuania. This year, the conference takes place online.
Manuel Célio Conceição presents “Language Diversity and Sustainability of Science Communication”, presides over one of the conference sessions and also participates in a round table. Pedro Sousa, who also chairs one of the sessions, presents “Translingualism and Empathy in Cynthia Ozick, Aleksandar Hemon and Viet Thanh Nguyen”. The paper “Multilingual Research in the FL Classroom” will be presented by Neuza Costa.
“Sustainable Multilingualism” is an international conference that brings together international researchers, experts and language teaching professionals to discuss the concept of multilingualism from different perspectives.
