GABRIELA BORGES ATTENDS THE 1ST ALFAMED BRAZIL SYMPOSIUM ON MEDIA COMPETENCIES 

On 10 November 2022, CIAC researcher Gabriela Borges attended the 1st Alfamed Brazil Symposium on Media Competencies (SICOM). The event was promoted by Rede Alfamed Brasil and transmitted live on Universidade de Sorocaba (Brasil) YouTube channel.

Gabriela Borges presented two communications: “A presentation of Alfamed Brazil” and “Observatório da Qualidade no Audiovisual: notas sobre a formação em qualidade audiovisual e literacia midiática” [Observatory of Audiovisual Quality: notes on audiovisual quality and media literacy].

The 1st SICOM intends to showcase Rede Alfamed Brazil—namely its goals, collaborators, and a summary of research and interventions conducted by its members in the last few years (more specifically, in 2022). Besides disseminating Alfamed’s work to educators and communicators, it aims to evaluate its insertion into the academic community.
